Translating text and webpages

Speechy adds two options to the iOS share sheet: Speechy Translate and Speechy Read Aloud. Select some text or share a web page and pick one.

Webpage extraction

When you share a Safari URL, Speechy downloads the page, strips ads and "Related Articles" tails in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and keeps only the main article body before translating or reading it.

Read aloud

Speechy's Read Aloud view uses the system speech synthesizer. You can pick a language and adjust the speed — useful for long articles, emails, or study notes.
